Rabbit Bolt Trap Live Catch – Galvanised PVC Coated :
Our traps are made from heavy gauge, PVC coated welded mesh and are extremely effective for the live capture of Rabbits whilst ferreting.
The trap itself is constructed with heavy gauge welded mesh, which is both galvanised and wrapped in green PVC to provide the highest levels of corrosion resistance. Using our green PVC coating both camouflage’s the trap from the target species and prevents unwanted interference. We only use stainless steel fixings in the construction of our traps, unlike similar cheaply made products on the market.
Our traps are specifically designed to work with bait to entice the animal into the trap.
Our suggested baits include Apple, Carrot and surprisingly Parsley!
How the Rabbit bolt trap works
Whilst ferreting, a Rabbit bolts from the entrance of its burrow into the trap which is positioned inside the ‘Bolt Hole’. In doing so opens the Gravity operated door mechanism, which drops behind it, instantly trapping the Rabbit. The animal is then trapped until it can be humanely dispatched by the pest controller.
This trap is best suited to areas which are hard to reach or not suitable for purse nets and is capable of taking multiple Rabbits in quick succession.
Please note: Rabbit scratches can be very nasty and easily inflicted on inexperienced pest controllers, we advise the use of Gauntlets which can be purchased from our website here.
Our trap comes fully assembled and ready to use.
